Safe Plate Day

Safe Plate Day

In partnership with Victoria Police and Neighbourhood Watch, Pacific Werribee will be hosting a Safe Plate Day. For a gold coin donation you can secure your number plates with one-way, anti-theft screws.

Over 10,000 number plates are stolen each year in Victoria. Stolen plates are often used to commit further serious offences such as:

  • Petrol drive offs.
  • To avoid speeding and parking fines.
  • Burglaries and drug trafficking.

You can help prevent serious offences and keep your number plates safe by following a few simple steps:

  • Secure your number plates with one-way, anti-theft screws.
  • Park your car in a secure place – off the street in a garage or carport where possible.
  • Stay alert and report the theft of number plates to police as soon as possible.
