Pacific Werribee Jobs Fair connecting local people with local jobs

Pacific Werribee in conjunction with local community partners Wyndham Opportunity Network, AMES, Wyndham Community & Education Centre, The Huddle and Jobs Victoria will be hosting its inaugural Jobs Fair, connecting local people with local jobs. With full-time, part-time and casual job opportunities available across the retail spectrum from national fashion and lifestyle brands to local food and beverage vendors.

The Jobs Fair will host virtual and onsite job skills workshops and seminars to help prepare candidates, focusing on topics such as résumé writing, interview techniques, job searching and personal branding. Candidates will also receive one-on-one mentoring and coaching and have the opportunity to participate in mock interviews.

How to apply for work in Wyndham presented by AMES

Location: Online via Zoom

Time: 6:30pm – 7:30pm

This presentation will offer guidance on preparing an application tailored to respond to a specific job advertisement. A hypothetical job advertisement will be presented and participants will be invited to prepare an application in response, which they can submit in the following days (timeline below). The applications will be reviewed and feedback will be provided so that participants can apply learnings for their applications to the retailers at Pacific Werribee.

Job Advocates Program: Wyndham Council & The Huddle

Duration: 20 minutes per session           

  • Provide additional linkages into employment services to support further preparation 
  • Provide navigational advise to community members with additional needs

  • Individualized skill audit for retail and hospitality
  • Job readiness assessment
